Do your own Fundraising
Put your stamp on World AIDS Day for Crusaid by fundraising in your community...
...there are so many ways to really make you have a red riot of a time! Whether it be from your workplace, student union, school, church, local pub or by taking to the streets for a bucket collection, please help us reach more people in desperate need this 1st December.
This type of support is vital to a charity like Crusaid because the funds allow us to continue our projects and give our Hardship Grants. With 30 million people living with HIV and AIDS and the pandemic slipping off the public agenda in recent years, the importance of marking World AIDS Day is greater than ever.
Fundraising in your community isn't just rewarding, it can be lots of fun too. The Crusaid Community and Events Fundraising Team will always be on hand to help and get those all-important fundraising goodies to you before your fundraising event!
Schools
Crusaid's Think! Talk! Act! Give! campaign aims at promoting awareness of the pandemic amongst young people. Asking your students to organise their own World AIDS Day activities will give them the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people living in poverty.
Be it a World AIDS Day assembly, bucket collection, making your own red ribbons, wearing red for the day or eating all red food for lunch... please get your whole school putting their stamp on 1st December!
University and Rag - Raising and Giving - Fundraising
Organise a World AIDS Day event in your student union and really make the end of term go with a bang! Be it a red alert party, red ribbon themed fashion show, karaoke or cabaret, all the money you raise will make a vital difference to the lives of people living in poverty and affected by HIV and AIDS.
Students up and down the country are going to be doing bucket collections for Crusaid, so if you would like to do a street collection, contact us and we will happily apply for the permit on your behalf.
Whether you're a member of a Stop AIDS Society, LGBT Group or just recognise the importance of marking 1st December, anything you can do to support Crusaid would be hugely appreciated.
Shops, bars, nightclubs, community groups, churches, hair salons, offices... please get involved!
Wherever you spend your time, join forces with your friends and colleagues for a fundraising event to remember. Red fancy dress, wine tasting , speed dating, auctions or carol singing are just some of the ways to get the donations rolling in.
If you're not feeling too ambitious, you'll be amazed at how much you can raise by simply selling red ribbons and holding a Crusaid collection tin. Putting your stamp on World AIDS Day, will not only raise vital funds for Crusaid but spice up those cold winter days with some fin-filled fundraising!
