How you can help - Community Fundraising99% of Crusaid’s income is from individual supporters and private organisations. We simply couldn’t survive without the many amazing people who fundraise for us and we’re eternally grateful to you all.If you’re doing something to raise money for Crusaid then we’d love to hear from you. Maybe we can include your story in our newsletter or on our website, to inspire other would-be fundraisers. And please send us your photos – particularly the embarrassing ones!  Can’t decide what to do? Allow us to make some suggestions:• Have a clear-out. Sell your unwanted bits and bobs on eBay, or have a good old-fashioned car boot sale. • Host a dinner party or barbecue. • Arrange a quiz night at your local pub. • Get sponsored. Sing, swim, shave – anything goes. Just make sure people pay you to do it. • Carry out chores – ironing, cleaning, gardening, dog walking – all for a fee of course. • Don’t forget to publicise your fundraising event – and if you can get it in the local paper then even better. Let as many people as possible know about Crusaid. How your money will help Read some real-life stories of how money raised for Crusaid has been spent here. Don’t forget to share these with your donors. However small or large the donation, we can put it to good use. • £5 could provide five orphans with hot meals for a week in South Africa. • £10 could provide 4 schools in the UK with educational CDs, to teach GSCE students about the impact of HIV on society and how to make safe choices. • £15 could pay for a personal carer to help someone who is very ill with HIV with washing, cooking and other basic tasks that they could not manage on their own. • £25 could help to save the lives of young people in Africa, by providing community leaders with HIV prevention training packs and funding one-to-one training sessions.
