Sing your hearts out and raise money for Crusaid!
West End star of Oliver! Jodie Prenger has said that ‘she’d do anything’ for Crusaid this Christmas, and will be fronting its THEATRECARES appeal, raising money to support HIV and AIDS causes in the UK and internationally.
Jodie has asked theatres across the country to join in the THEATRECARES Crusaid Christmas campaign, and carry out bucket collections during the festive season.
11 million children in Sub-Saharan Africa will wake up on Christmas morning without presents from their parents because they have been orphaned by HIV and AIDS. In the UK, and all the nations of the world, the impact of the pandemic will be felt by the families of the 33 million people living with HIV and AIDS. It is for children and adults like these that THEATRECARES raises crucial funds.
We are asking theatres nationwide to get involved and support THEATRECARES. Alternatively, if you are an individual who wants to get involved, you can nominate your local theatre or make your donations directly to your chosen theatre. All you need to do is look out for our donation buckets.
And you don’t even have to visit a theatre to take part. Anyone can put on a pantomime, sing carols or celebrate the holidays with any kind of performance to raise money for Crusaid. So, just like Jodie, sing your hearts out and raise money for Crusaid this Christmas!
If you want to get involved, please contact Crusaid’s fundraising team on 020 7539 3892 or email elliea@crusaid.org.uk
